The Palmer House is one of Frank Lloyd Wright's greatest works & listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1950 young academics Mary and Bill Palmer approached Wright with little hope he would agree to design & build their home. Wright at the time was working on the Guggenheim Museum in New York & was not inclined to take on other projects. But, Wright loved the site, the town & the young couple & agreed to design & build them a house in his Usonian style. The result is a tour de force of Wrights design genius.
